In memory of Baby Adam
Aug 17, 2007 – Jan 15, 2008
20 years of service · 3,000+ survivors reached
Our founder started Bright Future Foundation of America out of a promise made to her late grandson, Baby Adam. Their story is one of profound loss, but it became the seed of something lasting. The actions of CPS personnel completely broke her innocent young daughter's heart, and out of that profound grief, our founder vowed to turn that pain into a mission that could protect other mothers and families.
Every program we run, from the Day of Beauty makeovers to the scholarships we send across the world, carries a piece of Baby Adam's legacy. His name lives on in every survivor who walks out of a shelter feeling seen again, and in every student who gets to finish school because someone believed their future was worth investing in. What began as a personal tribute grew into a movement that now spans continents.
Twenty years later, that founding promise still guides everything we do. We honor Baby Adam not with sorrow, but with action, by encouraging survivors, educating youth, and empowering entire communities to build brighter futures of their own.
Our vision is a national network connecting survivors in shelters with local hairstylists, and inviting young people to take the nonviolent person (NVP) pledge.
